Eulogies Flow for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

Well beyond 14 days after the tragic deaths of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the duo.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt able to express about his personal sorrow.

"Sufficient time has gone by that I can at last express my sorrow into words," posted Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the production, remarking that he cannot recall "any day without mirth".

"The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the best person to guide it," Elwes wrote.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, saying: "Claiming that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I remember you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a distinct piece, revered director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Withheld

Recently, a Los Angeles judge ruled to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A court order placed a security hold on the investigation to limit the public release of "all case details, evidence and photographs" pertaining to the active case.

The relevant authority had previously confirmed their deaths were the outcome of homicide, with a record citing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Aftermath and Reactions

In the wake of the deaths, public figures offered different comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing controversial statements that were broadly criticized by many public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the critics recently. Speaking on his program, Rogan described the comments as "shocking" and suggested they demonstrated a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an adviser should have intervened when the choice to speak on the death was made.
