Two men have been charged related to a luggage theft where a suspected pepper spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two robbery charges and two counts of using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.

The charges follow an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their suitcases taken after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.

A young child was one of the people hurt in the event. Several persons required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – led to train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
